We evaluate Blackberry development agencies that work to create applications of a wide variety of purposes based on their performance compared to other application development agencies. Our evaluation criteria is developed to highlight the important aspects of application development.
We first check into the development quality that the vendors put into the work. We base this off of the quality of other applications that are available for the Blackberry platform and applications designed by the competition.
Next, the design is scrutinized to evaluate the quality of the graphical user interface used in the application. We review any web-enhanced features of the application and the graphics that are used. We also evaluate the choices of stock photography being used in the design.
Then we review the customer support being provided by the vendor to clients for any problems that the client may be having with the service. We talk to both present and past clients about the experiences they have had with the vendor.
The speed of development is another key component to our evaluation criteria. How much time does it take for the developers to create the code? Is the vendor capable of meeting realistic deadlines set by their clients?
Finally, we look into bug testing processes of each vendor. Does the vendor do a significant amount of bug testing before releasing the code to the customer to prevent issues from getting in the way of the use of the application?
