Evaluation Criteria for Graphic Software
Different types of graphic software are used to design and create powerful website designs and templates for many different purposes. Professional designers and learning designers alike learn to use graphics software to create strong website designs and web graphics. Using a wide variety of different software often aids in accomplishing what one sets out to accomplish through the use of different tools and features the software has to offer.
Our evaluation criteria for graphic software consist of five core values that we emphasize when looking into the tools that both professional and independent designers use to create their works.
Our main focus is on the overall functionality of the software. Is the software capable of handling the tasks assigned using a variety of functions and features that aid the designer in creating the look and feel that they are envisioning?
We also evaluate the support team available for the software. Does the vendor provide quality support for the software that aids in common computer issues related to the software and updates for the software to fix bugs and graphical glitches. Does the support team work to resolve the issues quickly and professionally?
Next we review the rendering methods used in the application. Are the graphics sharp and crisp? Does the software allow for different methods of rendering vector, 3d, and photographic images?
Compatibility is another major factor reviewed by us that designers face when dealing with different types of graphics software. Is the software capable of saving images in multiple formats and qualities based on the needs of the developer?
Our final criterion reviews the overall quality of the product in terms of how the application is able to run. We evaluate whether the application runs slow or crashes constantly and the effect on the speed and quality of design.
