Evaluation Criteria for Interactive Design
Design firms that work with interactive design are constantly creating new ways to work with a website and to involve the user in the operations of a website. Whether it’s a content management system, an application created for the web, or an integrated game created for a website, there are a lot of ways to involve a community into the website.
Our evaluation criteria looks into the important aspects of interactive design to ensure quality of service and a functional product being provided.
The first criterion we focus on is the firm’s ability to analyze the project and come up with a solution for how to create an interactive element for a website. Did the vendor customize solutions to meet specific needs of the client? How does the vendor work to understand the needs of the client better.
Next we assess the vendor’s customer support. We evaluate a firm on how they are able to connect with their customers and provide effective support through incoming and outgoing calls with their clients and through online services.
We also look into a vendor’s processes for bug testing and service testing. Does the interactive design firm work to ensure that the finished product will be free of bugs and issues? Do they provide extensive testing and issue resolution after delivery?
A fourth part of our analysis analyzes their design standards. We evaluate the vendor’s established standards that they follow for each design. We assess whether they ensure that each product being provided meets specific standards to treat their customers fairly and to create a genuine finished product.
Lastly, we test the functionality of the finished product. Can users easily navigate and use the interactive elements of the website and the applications without any major issues?
