Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation Criteria for Joomla Development

Many website owners and developers look to the Joomla platform for a framework to build a website or to manage a website as it provides a great base to start a website. The built-in article system and template system helps users manage and update their website  and customize it to their own specifications. Both developers and designers work with the PHP-based application as a means of creating stable websites, extensions, and themes.

Our evaluation criteria focuses on the aspects of Joomla Development that are critical to create a finished product whether it be a complete redesign or an extension. We evaluate the work put into creating extensions or templates based on the competition.

Our first aspect of our evaluation focuses on design quality. Are the stock images used in the design process high quality? Also we review the overall quality of the design. How effective is the layout and integration into Joomla?

Next, the development quality criterion focuses on the quality of development that goes into the work. Is the code stable? Can the code run inside of Joomla to be an extension without having to re-write Joomla itself?

Then we review the service provided based on input from both past and present clients of the vendor. We use input from the customers to compare the input received about other agencies to better evaluate each agency.

Customer support is also evaluated based on how fast the vendor is able to resolve their client's issues and the quality of the support that is given.

Finally, we evaluate the work being done to understand whether it will be compatible with updates within Joomla to cause the least amount of problems with the website in the future.
