Evaluation Criteria
Evaluation Criteria for PHP Development
Hypertext Preprocessor, known as PHP, is commonly used on websites as a means of creating an interactive website that is able to store and collect information. Developers use PHP on different websites as it's an open source engine that allows for the use of plug-ins with ample sources of open source code available on the internet. PHP development agencies focus on using PHP standards and code to develop functional websites that run efficiently and securely on web servers.
We evaluate these agencies based on criteria that has been set not only by the service being provided but by the quality of the service pertaining to different aspects of PHP development.
Code efficiency, the first aspect evaluated, is measured by how the web applications developed in PHP work on a web server as compared to other web applications. We assess whether the vendor works with clients to understand the required hardware needed to power the website.
Next we focus on the code security. How secure is the developed code? Does the scripted code have exploits that can allow for hackers to add their own code to pages and cause problems with users of the website as well as the web server?
Then we review the documentation vendor’s add to their code to ensure that anyone working on the website will be able to understand what each piece of code does. Does the vendor keep in mind potential future development of the website helping to possibly cut costs for the client?
The fourth criterion we focus on is the service that the client receives from the vendor. We connect with past and present clients to receive their input on the service that was provided.
Finally, we evaluate the consultation services that a vendor is able to provide to clients and the efficiency of the information provided. Does the agency give their clients reliable consultation on the development and deployment processes?
