Job Summary
The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of a software development project.? He or she will be required to mentor new developers on J2EE technologies and development best practices. The Technical Lead works with all developers to ensure the optimum technical solution is utilized in the development of new and existing applications. He or she also reviews and contributes to design, deliverables, enforces coding and design standards, and provides technical support to the team.? This individual should have extensive J2EE, Web, Web services, and Java experience, as well as a working knowledge of UNIX Linux and Windows operating systems.
This individual will coordinate and communicate with AAXIS China Project Managers and development team.  He or she must also be able to build and manage relationships with AAXIS clients. This person must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
ATG Commerce experience or any other eCommerce experience is highly desirable.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, design, implement, and support efficient and cost effective solutions in building or maintaining software application
- Must be able to analyze?translate business requirements into technical specifications and effective technical solutions, and perform program?database design activities
- Review design and code produced by members of the engineering team
- Prepare and maintain system documentation and follow proper naming conventions
- Review and edit all documentation produced by junior team members
- Participate in issue resolution and change control processes
- Solve technical problems or recommend alternative solutions to team members and project leaders
- Participate in researching and recommending best practices for the monitoring, support, maintenance, and implementation of software applications
- Work on technically complex projects within the technology sets mentioned above, with minimal guidance
- Produce structured, commented programming code based on the documented requirements
- Author source code, source comments and project documents
- Manage a small to medium-sized software development project
- Ensure development is performed to the defined specifications
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Self-motivated in learning new technologies and implementing quality software components
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
- Possess excellent business ethics and professionalism
- Encourage creativity and forward-thinking suggestions
- Up to 50 travel
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor&rsquos degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field. Master&rsquos degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-year experience in J2EE with an overall 6 years of industry experience
- Experience in designing and developing multi-tier software applications
- Good communication skills: written and verbal.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design OOAD.  This includes good understanding of the Unified Modeling Language UML
- Exposure to development methodologies: Rational Unified Process and Xtreme Programming
- Mastery of J2EE technologies: EJB, JSP, Servlet, JNDI, JMS, JAXP and JDBC
- Mastery of Web Technologies: JavaScript, JAXP, CSS and HTML
- In-depth experience in utilizing open source toolkits: Struts, Hibernate, Log4J, Axis Web Services, Xerces, Xalan, Ant and Spring
- Experience with one of the following application servers: JBoss, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere
- Working knowledge of UNIXLinux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with Design Patterns
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with full lifecycle of software development projects from establishing requirements through delivery and production
- Experience in building scalable, mission-critical applications
This job requires 50 travel to clients for requirements gathering and implementations. All expenses paid and great compensation package.
