JOB SUMMARY the purpose and general nature of the job
The Software Engineer is responsible for contributing to specialized technical knowledge in multiple product development efforts to support applications utilized and depended upon by SOURCECORP&rsquos operational facilities.

Shehe will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment to develop, maintain and support web and client?server applications based primarily on Microsoft technologies. Shehe will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.

The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of a variety of applications. The development teams are involved in a wide range of applications, ranging from document imaging to workflow to physical tracking i.e., chain of custody to pay management.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

    Assist Business Analysts in the design of a solution.
    Translate business and design goals into usable products.
    Perform all traditional development activities, such as analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation.
    Perform testing to identify problems early, perform error and stress scenarios.
    Assist the QA and Configuration Management team as requested to perform and deploy product builds.
    Participate in design and code reviews.
    Identify and recommend where new technologies may be incorporated.
    Balance responsibilities for one or more technical aspects of development.
    Manage work assignments to meet deadlines under an aggressive schedule some overtime may be required.
    Drive all projects to completion.
    Maintain an interest in and enthusiasm for all aspects of software development
    Maintain a willingness to accept any and all assignments, regardless of application or technologies involved.
    Work with others in a collaborative team environment.

Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGEEXPERIENCESKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:

    Bachelor&rsquos Degree in computer science or a related field.
    3 - 5 years of IT experience and a good understanding of the full life cycle of development.
    1 - 3 years development experience with Microsoft web, clientserver and database technologies.
    1 &ndash 3 years of strong experience with the following technologies: C, C#, VB.?NET, SQL, T-SQL, XML, COM.
    1 &ndash 3 years of desirable experience with ASP.?NET, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML
    1 &ndash 3 years experience with system integration and implementation.
    Demonstrated knowledge of software development and Microsoft technologies.
    Experience defining technical expectations and goals of projects.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Proficient analytical, decision making, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
    Demonstrate interpersonal?relationship skills.
    Detail-oriented.
    Good time management skills.
    Work independently and contribute to and foster a team environment.


PHYSICAL?MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

    Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call status, evenings, andor weekends.
    Ability to lift 20 - 50 pounds.
    Some travel may be required.
