Responsibilities & Qualifications:
PROCESS ENGINEER
Responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods for safe production of high-quality products at lowest possible costs. This individual is the focal point for production line issues after Production Release. Responsible for the application of statistical methods for process validation, monitoring, and improvement. Other responsibilities include project management for capital equipment upgrades and replacements, as well as validation of existing processes and equipment. Will work closely with new product development engineering during pilot phase of projects to ensure a timely production release.
Key Responsibilities:
    Develop and provide timely solutions for difficult and advanced machine and manual based process issues and opportunities.
    Apply automation techniques to resolve production issues.
    Identify, implement and sustain safety controls.
    Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
    Provide advanced technical support to production lines and other engineers.
    Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
    Take direction from Value Stream Leads to achieve customer quality and delivery requirements.
    Create tool and fixture design using 3D modeling software ProE preferred.
    Optimize manufacturing processes using advanced statistical methods.
    Technical liaison for product and process transfers, including coordination of Engineering and technical activities between Portland, Mexico, and China plants.
    Global standardization of processesproducts.
    Cost reduction activities, including process improvements and conversions.
    Interact directly with customers as a technical expert in the manufacture of their products within TE Medical.
Minimum Qualifications:
    Five or more years experience in engineering or related field.
    BS Degree in Engineering required Masters of ScienceEngineering with two or more years of experience preferred.
    Six Sigma Green Belt training Black belt preferred.
    In-Depth knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods and systems
    Excellent mechanical or electrical design skills
    Proficient in advanced problem solving skills including statistical analysis
    Excellent communications skills oral & written
    Excellent Project Management Skills
    Strong computer skills word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, project management
    Effective human relations and negotiation skills.
